I just realized I didn’t write a review after I have been to this place so many times... I start visiting again a month ago and somehow I really started to like the sushi there ... the fish are always fresh with no bad fishy smell, i recommend sit at the counter as always so u get to eat the sushi immediately after the chef made it for you. Of course, I only tried the sushi course from the menu so my review is really pretty much based on that. I am not sure if other dishes are good. I pretty much only go there for sushi. It’s not the best sushi in Toronto ones may argue and I am not sure what kind of wasabi it’s using (prefer the grated ones), but I would say it’s still one of the good restaurant and I would continue to visit.

Food was great! Fish were fresh. I loved the grilled cod fish, the uni from Japan AND the wasabi ice cream. The waitresses were friendly.

I have been to this place multiple times and tried their omakase as well as a la carte dinner. Both are very good. The sushi and sashimi are very fresh and of better quality comparing to other Japanese restaurant in general. The omakase is very affordable but they do not cut corners. You get very good quality food and atmosphere is good. The sushi chef is pretty friendly too.

Came here for lunch with my aunt and uncle and enjoyed the dinner sushi set. The sushi was fresh and good. The foie grois sushi was the bomb. Our waitress was super nice too

A must try and should be on your return list. We had the omakase at dinner and its fantastic. The fish quality is excellent and a key reason is their fish (per their menu) is it is from Japan. The fish is a fairly generous portion, (I say fairly as I think if a little thicker - the taste offered by the fish would be 'over the top'). The fish sits delicately. on top of a what I would say 'right amount' of sushi rice, wasabi and just enough soy brushed on top. I've been fortunate to be at other omakase's in the GTA and I think the fish types offered here, is almost identical to the types of fish provided then - I would say the fish quality here is at par and at times better than others I've been at - so you can't go wrong. I hope the pix offer you some insight into the quality of the fish as this is a wonderful journey for the umami in you (lol), that seems like good value. And, green tea macha mousse - wow, this is a memorable dessert to complete the meal. Loved the decor - simple and it resonates a contemporary feel when one is at the bar - yes, do sit here. We can't wait to come back !

Excellent experience! Strongly recommended, chef and staff are very friendly and the restaurant is very cozy and clean. Must try their shochu and unagi nigiri, all the fishes are very fresh.

Tokyo and Osaka-level Japanese cuisine, at last! Ordered Toshi course 95 (5 stars) and salmon teriyaki-dinner 33. The chef is Japanese and was very amiable upon entering the restaurant. The same could be said for the attentive waitress. It was around 8pm on a Monday so it was rather quiet. The quality of food in combination with the price point deserves a full house.

Authentic Japanese restaurant, one of our favourites in the area. The sushi and tempura are excellent, and they offer nice lunch specials during the week.
